Building A Rapport – A Key Element To Getting The Shots You Want

Before every one of our photoshoots, we make sure to connect with you. Ideally, we like to meet you in person, have a quick chat about your expectations, and understand why you booked this session in the first place. This will help us align our preparation with your desired outcome, to ensure we all come out of the session feeling we’ve nailed it! This is even more important if we’re shooting on location, as it will help us familiarize ourselves with the surroundings, get a better idea on the lighting requirements, and identify key shots we feel would make your final product even more special.

Meeting you before the shoot also allows us to go deeper and really understand your likes and dislikes, perhaps learn an anecdote about you or something about your life that could benefit the shoot. Every little bit helps us bring out the soul from our photographs to give you impactful shots.

This session will also help you getting acquainted with us. Knowing your photographers will help you be yourself in front of the camera, be more relaxed, which will reflect positively in your shots… especially if pausing for a camera isn’t something you do naturally.

What if we can’t arrange to meet up before the shoot? That’s okay too. In that case, we’ll try to get on a video call and get to know each other this way. You can also share with us pictures of the place you wish to shoot at in the case of location shoots.

In the case of shoots with specific requests, we will also work on a mood board to ensure we are fully aligned with what you are hoping for, and that together, we can deliver the masterpiece you envision.
